This is essay numero dos for biology.
The Spinosaurus was a frightening creature of ancient times. With its huge build, monstrous jaw, and iconic spine it would scare even the strongest man. Not much is known about this behemoth because not many full skeletons have been found. Oddly, Spinosaurus fossils have been found in many different places such as Africa and South America.
At around fifty feet long the Spinosaurus could be compared in size to the Tyrannosaurus Rex although they were very different. Unlike the thick large skull of the T-Rex the Spinosaurus had a long skull. Long and pointed, its teeth were arranged so the upper and lower teeth would be interlocked. Scientists believe that the Spinosaurus may have eaten fish because its teeth were arranged like a crocodile. The large spines on the Spinosaurus’s back were six feet long at its highest and extended from its neck to its hip region. Scientists believe that the spines were connected by a membrane making a sail along its back. It is unknown what the sail was used for, but some believe it was used for regulating body temperature. Its arms were longer than that of the Tyrannosaurus and may have been use for grasping prey.
Although not much is known about this monster, it did exist and was very menacing. As odd as it was, from the places it has been found to its physical appearance, it was a great example of God’s creation.
